Sophomore – The Longhorn sophomore team lost to the Foster Falcons on Monday by a score of 9-5. The Longhorns were led on offense by Ryan Moore who was 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 RBI, and on defense by Canon DeSerf who came in and held the Falcons down by pitching two scoreless innings.
JV – The JV baseball team lost a hard fought battle to Foster on Monday night by a score of 2-3. Brad Armstrong started for the Longhorns surrendering one run in 4 innings of work. Jeremiah Santana and Jacob Skinner pitched three innings in relief for the team. Jake Zatopek and Will Ripoll each drove in a run in the first inning, scoring Ty Abraham and Zatopek to close out the scoring for the Longhorns. The loss puts the team in a tie for first place with a district record of 8-1.
Varsity – The Longhorns lost a close game to Foster on Monday night by score of 2-3. Jon Kastens went the distance on the mound allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits while striking out 5. Kevin Kopps, Garrett Gray, Bradley Greer, and Bryce Varni got the lone hits for the Longhorns.
