On Friday night the Longhorns women’s basketball team opened up district play against Foster. It was a clean sweep with the freshman winning 33 to 27, with Somsi Azule scoring 12. The JV fell behind early but fought back and won with a score of 47 to 39. Jillian Morris contributed with 7. The Varsity fought tough, played hard and came out with the 48 to 38. Kendall Bess and Rita Okoye both had 7 also with contributions of nine points by Alexis White and Chinwe Eke. The Next game will be tonight in Angleton.
