Aquatics v. Foster/Clements
The GRHS boys’ and girls’ swim and dive teams took down Foster and perennial 6A powerhouse Clements last week. The girls won 124 to 66, and the boys won 92-78!! Strong swims put in by athletes across the board! Find a swimmer and tell them congratulations and keep up the good work!

Aquatics – LCISD Invite Results
The GRHS boys defended their title as LCISD invite champs last weekend! The boys won the 200 medley and free relays, and wins by Blake Grote and David Kvitna, as well as Evan Vasquez in diving, lead the way. The girls got second in the LCISD invitational. The girls won all 3 relays. Shelby Sparacino and Riley Murray both won individual events!

Aquatics – Foster/Austin Meet Results
The George Ranch boys and girls won their double dual meets last night!! The girls beat Foster HS 230-145 and Austin HS 214-160. GRHS won 5 out of 6 relays! BEST NEWS OF THE NIGHT: RILEY MURRAY BROKE THE GRHS GIRLS’ 100 FREESTYLE with a blazing 55.96!! WAY TO GO, LONGHORNS!

2014 Sports Banquet
The 2014 Winter and Spring Sports Banquet honoring Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, Wrestling, and Student Athletic Trainers will be on Wednesday, May 14th @ 6:30pm. We will all meet in the GRHS Auditorium prior to breaking off into our specific sports. Hope to see you all there!

Congratulations to the swimmers and divers who have been named to the 2014 All-State Team! 1st team means that the time was one of the 8 fastest times that was swam in 4A this season (or scores for diving). 2nd team is for times that placed 9th-16th, and Honorable Mention is for times that placed 17th-24th in the State.

Aquatics – State Meet Results
The aquatics teams traveled to Austin, TX, this past weekend to compete in the UIL 4A State Swim and Dive meet. The boys 200 free relay of Robby Valdez, Sean Mangel, Blake Grote, and Cody Moore placed 11th. Blake Grote competed in the boys 100 backstroke and brought home an 11th place finish and also set a new school record! Colby Reed placed 6th in boys 1-meter diving. Also competing was the boys’ medley relay of Blake Grote, Sean Mangel, Michael Dziuk, and Cody Moore. Congratulations to all the swimmers and divers on a successful season!!
